After a two-hour delay, Taylor Swift plays in the rain during a coոcert: video
Taylor Swift has never allowed a little drizzle to cancel one of her outdoor stadium performances, and on May 7 in Nashville, she did it once more.
Nashville hosted the third of three Eras Tour performances, and Taylor was determined not to disappoint her fans.
Lightning struck the region, delaying the show for two hours while people were ordered to take cover inside the stadium.
However, Taylor assured them on Instagram that she would still perform. «I know there’s talk of a rainy weather vibe tonight, but I’m ready to play,» she added.
Taylor could finally take the stage as the weather cleared up. She still performed the entire show despite the delay.
The rain began to fall during Taylor’s performance of «Delicate,» more almost an hour into the show, but it was okay to keep going because there was no lightning.
Taylor continued to put on a dynamic performance the rest of the night despite the rain.
When she sang «Midnight Rain» while it was actually raining, it was one of the most talked-about parts of the evening.
When Taylor performed the song from her most recent album, Midnights, at the end of the evening, videos from the performance showed the rain pelting down.
Her duet with Aaron Dessner on «Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve» was another audience favorite from the show.
It was one of the «surprise songs» of the evening and Taylor performed it live in front of an audience for the first time.
For Taylor, the weekend in Nashville was very eventful. She shocked the audience on May 5 when she revealed that Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),
her next re-recorded album, would be released soon.
The release date of this latest re-record, which Taylor has been hinting at for some months, has been confirmed as July 7.
It’ll be the third of six albums that Taylor has redone in an effort to regain the rights to the songs she originally recorded for her previous company.
In 2021, Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) were both released, and in 2022, Midnights, a brand-new album, was released.
Then, Taylor invited many of her closest friends to the performance on May 6.
She attended the presentation with her childhood friend Abigail Anderson, as well as Gigi Hadid and Lily Aldridge.
Reese Witherspoon, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Matty Healy, and Mariska Hargitay were among the other famous people in attendance.
