After assisting with the delivery during a call-out, a firefighter adopts the child of a homeless lady

This incident occurred in 2011.

A woman who reported stomach ache and requested assistance made an urgent call to the fire team. Mark Hadden, age 47, was one of the people who responded to the call.

As firefighters came, a woman was in labor. They were only able to get her onto a stretcher;

it was obvious they didn’t have enough time to get her to the hospital, so they had to accept delivery right away.

When a girl was born, the firefighters just had time to cut the woman’s garments. The first person to pick her up and humorously introduce the infant as Rebecca Grace Hadden was Mark.

While the woman was later being transported to the hospital, Mark spoke with her and learned that she lives on the street and that the child was not a part of her plans.

She intended to abandon the young patient and place her up for adoption.

Hadden already had two sons at that point, and he and his wife yearned for a daughter but Beth was no longer able to conceive.

The family council deliberated before deciding to accept the sign of destiny. Little Gracie was able to find a new family and home in just two days.

The youngster, who is now 8 years old, is completely adored by her elder brothers.

Daughter’s parents do not keep the tale of her appearance a secret from her, but the kid is still learning all the subtleties.

Later, Mark will explain to his daughter how she came to be a part of their family in the hopes that she will be able to handle this information.

In any case, Gracie is now a member of the family and will always have them close by.
