As she opens up about WAG life, Chloe Goodman explains why she is certain her footballer husband Grant Hall will never stray
Ten years have passed since Chloe Goodman, the sassy party girl who rose to popularity on Ex On The Beach, first appeared on the scene.
However, she now wants a life away from the spotlight after ten highly publicized seasons of Celebrity Big Brother, glamour model spreads, and even celebrity body double work.
It’s true that the Chloe who meets me is not the same as the one I remember getting into arguments with on MTV and getting photographed having a wild time at clubs.
I’ve been invited to visit her stunning East Sussex home, where she resides with her football-playing spouse Grant Hall and their two darling kids, Hudson, age two, and Isla, age four.
Chloe seems like the ideal candidate for an adult nursing degree—she is scheduled to begin her studies in September—because she is kind, gregarious, and perceptive. Chloe, who is eager to return to school in order to expand her services at her aesthetics clinic, Opiah, is in a wonderful timing.
Ironically, Lauryn, Chloe’s sister, is making news for the same reason that Chloe is stepping back from the spotlight to concentrate on her family.
To have escaped the recent drama surrounding the Goodman family, you would have to be living under a rock. They shared a second kid as a result of Lauryn’s extramarital romance with married football player Kyle Walker, it was revealed in January. Then came a highly publicized altercation between Lauryn’s love children, Kairo, age four, and Kinara, age twelve, between the influencer Kyle and his wife Annie Kilner.
Therefore, it makes sense that Chloe doesn’t want to get entangled in the drama. Even though she lives very close to her sibling, the two avoid each other’s company. It’s not something Chloe wants to talk about in regards to Lauryn.
She has her own family to support, after all, and I have seen firsthand that she is overburdened. Chloe is responsible for taking care of her three active dogs, Harley the dachshund and Coco and Chanel the French bulldogs, in addition to her two small children.
The kids and the pets compete for Chloe’s attention during our conversation. Chloe, on the other hand, is used to it all. She remarks, «There are five mouths to feed before I even do my own,» in reference to the mayhem that occurs every morning.
However, Chloe wouldn’t have it any other way, and it’s clear that she feels immensely fortunate and grateful for the way her life has worked out.
After all, Chloe used to worry that she would never become a mother. After an abnormal smear test in 2018, Chloe had half of her cervix removed. At the time, she told followers that her surgeon had warned that this procedure could affect her fertility.
Nevertheless, she overcame two challenging pregnancies to conceive naturally, and Grant and Chloe are now enjoying their «brilliant» children.
«With my youngest growing up, I totally get why mothers ask, «Should we have another?»,» the woman acknowledges. «You glance back through rose-colored glasses.» You just recall the unique moments you have, forgetting all the difficult ones. «I wish I could have had more, but I am medically incapable of having any more children.» It’s simply too dangerous.
«The pregnancies with Isla and Hudson were really difficult, and if I kept trying, I think I would lose the pregnancies.»I don’t tend to be avaricious. My boys and girls are smart as chips.
In a way, I believe that knowing I won’t have another one makes me appreciate current ones more and make sure I’m fully present when I do.
«I’m truly present when we’re together.»Her stronger-than-ever bond with her spouse Grant must also be a factor.

«It has been an extremely busy year,» she acknowledges. «Within a week, it was my birthday, [sister] Amelia’s birthday, my wedding, and my dad’s 60th birthday.»We therefore celebrated extensively throughout the entire week in Portugal, and as I will be starting college in September, I also studied throughout that time. I have no idea what’s wrong with me.
The Goodmans’ situation hasn’t improved after two months. Their honeymoon has actually been postponed. This month, MailOnline disclosed that the pair had canceled their ideal Bali vacation due to the strain of constantly being trolling because of her affiliation with sister Lauryn.
Chloe says, «We’re not having one.» It’s currently too busy. Too busy by far. «Right now, we have other priorities. Grant is back playing football, and I have to balance my studies with my aesthetics clinic Opiah and being a full-time mother.»
She hasn’t, however, ruled out going on a trip in the future, thinking, «We might do one.» Consider that it will probably work best if the youngsters are a little older.We will wait until kids are a little older and more independent before taking some time for ourselves because they would be difficult to take care of.
Chloe is concentrating on her married life for the time being. She acknowledges that it takes some getting used to calling Grant «husband» after their four-year engagement. She admits, «I keep calling him my fiancé, but nothing’s changed in terms of our relationship.» We’re probably happier, if anything. More chilled. At ease.
«We’re a family and married,» she quips, reassuring everyone that she is not concerned about anything altering. There’s no way out. He’s now imprisoned inside!
I wonder whether Chloe worries about the stereotype of the football player in spite of her promises. After all, rumors of athletes betraying their lovers or getting entangled in scandals are a common occurrence. And she undoubtedly worries in the back of her mind that Grant will eventually live up to the stereotype as Lauryn’s sister, who is expecting two love children with Manchester City player Kyle?
Strongly no, is the response. Grant has never been like that, Chloe says. He’s never been one to drink.
I doubt if we would have ever connected if he hadn’t purchased the home next door to my dad. We had a lot of friends, but because he doesn’t go out, I had never met him before. He keeps to himself.
«He is familiar with football players, but his lifelong friends are people he met in school.»Grant greets me quickly as he rushes out the door; he is cordial and kind, and he appears to be in a good mood despite his hurry.
Chloe clarifies, saying, «His days off are never days off because he’s gone to a cryochamber for recovery and is currently on his way to see the chiropractor.» He’s constantly had a football-related project going on!
His priorities are performance, nutrition, and recuperation. It’s about ensuring he takes care of himself, extending his career and maintaining his fitness.Partying and drinking just don’t fit with our way of life. That being said, because he’s never left, I have never been concerned.
«I used to go out and party a lot, but now that I have kids, the hangovers are not worth it!» It seems logical that Chloe is aware of the dangers of falling for stereotypes. She has firsthand experience with the feeling of being unfairly evaluated.
«People tend to think I’m conceited and obsessed with material goods,» she muses. When a football player marries an extremely glam person, the reaction is usually, «Oh, she’s only with him for his money.»
If they wed someone they’ve known their entire lives, the saying goes, «He could do so much better than her.» You are unable to prevail!
«I believe everything has changed now, though.» Women tend to be more self-reliant. They aspire to be independent professionals.
Aside from their relationships, they desire to have their own lives and identities. In the past, your status was always «who are you dating?» In today’s world, both parents work. I believe it would have been foolish of me to stop working.
Chloe ignores the criticism and the haters altogether. She clarifies, «I’m not doing anything to make other people happy.» «I’m doing this for my family’s happiness and mine.»
She is returning to school in part for this reason. Chloe was unable to attend college because she had been a part of the reality TV scene since she was a teenager.
She is currently enrolled in a three-year adult nursing program with the goal of becoming an advanced nurse practitioner so that she can expand the services that she provides at her aesthetics clinic.
She admits, «I was a little embarrassed about going back to school.» «Everyone’s twentysomething, just out of college.» However, I later came to the conclusion that letting other people hold you back and not pursuing your dreams in life is the only thing that is embarrassing.
«It’s possible that I’m the oldest student at my university and in my class, but that’s okay. I don’t conduct my life according to what other people think. I follow my own and my family’s wishes.
It’s evident that Chloe and her loved ones have profited from this mindset because they are prospering away from the spotlight.
The question that still has to be answered is if she will ever be able to mend her relationship with sister Lauryn now that everything has finally fallen into place for the celebrity.
