Biologists have discovered in this man a feature of the eyes that science previously considered impossible

The least regulated area of the body is the eyes, where most functions are automated. That was the case previously, at least.

A young German turned to experts recently with an eye characteristic that was previously thought to be physically impossible.

The eyes’ pupils change in response to light and dark: they contract in the sun and enlarge at dusk.

Distance focusing and feelings can both have an impact on pupils, but none of these variables is within a person’s control.

The German, age 23, stood out as an exception.

He claimed that as a young child, he had observed a peculiar quality in men: they could «tremble» with their pupils, constricting and extending them as desired.

He made the pupils contract by tightening the intraocular muscles and dilate them by relaxing them.

The man told the biologists, «And I can also alter the diameter just by envisioning a dark and light environment.

Following all the tests, it was discovered that the individual can make his pupils enlarge to 2.4 millimeters and contract to 0.88 millimeters. Nobody else on earth is capable of doing this.

Currently, researchers are attempting to determine whether they are dealing with a unique genetic characteristic. The ability to govern students may just be a new development in human evolution.
