Blake Lively pays tribute to Britney Spears in an iconic Versace ensemble at the opening of her new film, just days after the biopic about the troubled pop star was unveiled
Blake Lively looked amazing at the It Ends With Us premiere in New York City on Tuesday night, modeling a Versace dress with a single strap that Britney Spears once wore.
The 36-year-old actress, who portrayed Ladypool in the recently released Deadpool & Wolverine blockbuster, donned an identical cleavage-baring outfit to the Versace show in Milan, Italy in 2002, just like the 42-year-old Spears.
The eye-catching piece has a nude underlay and gorgeous pastel-colored stones all over it.
Blake matched the glitzy appearance with a straightforward, organic-looking nude manicure, just like the pop diva wore in the early aughts.
It was revealed a few days ago that Britney’s 2023 tell-all memoir, The Woman In Me, would serve as the basis for a biopic.
The rights to the books were acquired by Universal, DailyMail.com discovered on August 1.
Later, the Toxic singer teased the project on her X account, stating that she is collaborating with Marc Platt, the producer of the Reese Witherspoon-starring Legally Blonde series.
Jon M. Chu (Wicked) is directing the biopic; however, the identity of the Grammy-winning musician to be portrayed in it is yet unknown.
«I’m thrilled to inform my followers that I’ve been collaborating with @MarcPlatt on a top-secret project.» He’s always directed some of my best films. «Pay attention,» Britney affirmed.
Lively acknowledged on Instagram that she was influenced by Britney’s early aughts style.
She shared a picture of Spears wearing the outfit with her 45.3 million followers, interacting with them, and added music to her ballad Everytime from 2003.
The actress described her as «the ultimate queen who made us all want to sparkler and write and share our stories» and wrote, «Today’s mood,» in a glowing typewriter font.

Blake plays Lily Bloom in It Ends with Us, a character who starts an intense, and eventually violent, relationship with Justin Baldoni’s Ryle Kincaid.
Baldoni directed the movie, which was based on the same-titled romance book that Colleen Hoover wrote in 2016.
Reynolds looked dapper wearing a button-up ivory shirt with a fitted olive green suit.
The 47-year-old Hollywood starlet accessorized the chic ensemble with gleaming dark brown dress shoes.
He was posing with his wife of over 12 years, who had a tiny, pale pink corsage on his lapel.
With his dark hair cropped precisely to a short length and his graying beard clipped to a little layer, he looked dapper as ever.
Ryan recently discussed his record-breaking flick Deadpool & Wolverine, which he co-wrote with his wife.
During his podcast appearance, Not Skinny But Not Fat, he fielded questions regarding the identity of the actress who played Lady Deadpool.
In response, he joked, «I’ve been sleeping with her,» implying that his wife Blake was the one taking on the enigmatic new role.

The thirty-two-year-old model and television broadcaster Camille Kostek looked lovely in an ivory gown with lots of flowing.
She flashed bronzy makeup and styled her blonde hair in a flirtatious updo.
Recalling her movie from April, Hoover told People that «watching these characters come to life on the big screen is a dream come true.»
