Britney Spears sparks backlash after fans spot cryptic words in new dance video
Britney Spears has once again sparked a backlash after fans spotted a cryptic lyric in her latest dance video.
The 41-year old shared a clip to her Instagram account in which she could be seen dancing around the room in her unique way to the sounds of Beyonce’s Daddy Lessons.
Toxic star Brit, who famously regained control of her life after her dad Jamie’s conservatorship was terminated in November 2021, has regularly shared erratic routines to social media ever since.
This weekend proved no different, as the mother-of-two busted moves to lines including «daddy made me dance» and «daddy made a soldier out of me».
It prompted fans to accuse the star of taking aim at Jamie with a not-so-subtle message.
After posting her video, X (formerly Twitter) users laid into Britney for dragging Beyonce’s name into her problems and referring her dad whilst he is unwell.
They wrote: «I’m tired of people complaining about Britney when she ISN’T doing anything wrong. I think the key message is the lesson of the song Daddy Lessons, the only one she is shading is her own father.»
Another added: «That video of Britney dancing to daddy lessons makes me want to 911 and I don’t even live in America.»
A third commented: «Britney Spears dancing in lingerie to Beyoncé’s ‘Daddy Lessons’ for sexy video? Terrible to see this! Put some clothes on and work on respecting yourself and others.»
A fourth said: «This poor girl is damaged goods. All that talent and she acts like a P**n Star. Sad.» And a fifth hit out: Britney Spears dancing to Daddy Lessons on IG while her dad is literally on his deathbed.»
It comes hot on the heels of Britney reportedly being «furious» her dad has moved in with her sister, Jamie Lynn. A source told MailOnline: «This obviously infuriates Britney for so many reasons.
«She feels betrayed that her sister is putting up her dad and allowing him to watch her kids after what he did to her.
She cannot believe that Jamie is caring for Jamie Lynn’s daughters when he was partially to blame for Britney’s falling out with her two sons.»
