Nicola Adams’ girlfriend Ella Baig has altered her body shape in a time lapse video to demonstrate how some influencers ‘play the game’ – but insists women aren’t at fault for posting fake content.

The model, 23, who welcomed her first baby this year with Olympic boxing champ Nicola, 40, told her 30K followers that she doesn’t usually edit her body on Instagram but she made her waist smaller, breasts bigger, and slimmed her thighs in a post to highlight how easy it is to make drastic changes online.
In a statement shared alongside the video, Ella said ‘women are damned if they do and damned if they don’t’ so they’re ‘not to blame’ for posting unrealistic photos, insisting the ‘hate is targeted in completely the wrong place.’
She explained: ‘I’ve debated about posting a video like this for some time but here we go…

‘First, I would like to say I do not edit my body shape in any of my pictures however, I do use some or all of these apps to edit my pictures on Instagram.
‘This is to show how easy it is to edit and why you should NOT believe everything you see.
‘Now while I do not like the amount of ‘fake’ content out there I think the hate is placed in completely the wrong place.’

Ella wore a matching red lingerie set in the video where she used several apps to change her appearance, smooth her skin, make her look smaller, and lighten the picture.
She continued: ‘In a world where women are damned if they do and damned if they don’t we really are not to blame for wanting to edit our pictures. You have to realise that most of the influencers you see online, this is their job and you have to ‘play the game’ so to speak.

‘There are those few that are honest and open, what some might call ‘real’ and that’s great and they’re amazing for taking that stand but this should not be expected from them or anyone else.
‘Because while it might make you feel better to see someone else being honest about their insecurities it’s very hard to be open like that online especially when it’s followed be harsh judgement.’

Ella ended her post by concluding, ‘it’s up to brands, companies, and platforms to make a stand for the good of their brand and do the right thing not creators.’
The mother-of-one voiced her opinion after celebrating her first Christmas with son Taylor, longterm partner Nicola, and dog Brooklyn.
After welcoming Taylor in July, Nicola said becoming a parent for the first time was ‘the most amazing thing that’s ever happened to me.’
