Faithful dog found the rescuers in the dense forest and led them to the owner in trouble
A Nevada guy believed he would never go back home after breaking his hip after falling from a height of more than 20 meters in a forest close to Lake Tahoe.

Fortunately, his loyal border collie Saul was standing by his side and helped the search and rescue crew locate him.
Only the day following the fall, when he crept to an area of the forest with cellular coverage, was the man able to call for assistance.

The rescuers were called after the man managed to get contact to a friend, but they had no idea where to seek for him.
The rescue crew was searching the forest when they came across a black and white dog, which had been searching for them for a while.

Saul actively started to jump when he saw others and yelled for them to follow him. and eventually took them to the owner, who was seated behind a makeshift camouflage tarpaulin cover he had constructed.
Soon after, a helicopter flew over the area to transport the man to Grass Valley Hospital. Saul was escorted there as well.

«At first, I didn’t think the search and rescue team members were telling the truth since their account seemed like a screenplay. The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office’s Sergeant Dennis Haack said, «But until they gave me the specifics of what had happened, I was absolutely astounded that they had gone to the victim after his dog.
The injured man is currently making a slow recovery, and his dog is taking care of him.
