Selena Gomez recently opened out about how her lupus medicine can influence her weight during a livestream on TikTok.
She admitted during the video, which was later reposted on Twitter by a fan, that she «tends to hold a lot of water weight» when she takes the drug. «I tend to lose weight when I stop taking it.
Although no one is aware of the whole circumstances, I just wanted to say this and urge anyone who feels any form of shame for what they’re going through.
Selena said that she «doesn’t believe» in fat shaming and that she «just isn’t a model.»
She declared, «Not a model, never will be.» And, mind you, I think they’re fantastic. Simply said, I’m not that.
I just wanted to say how much I appreciate you guys and thank you for being so understanding and supportive.
I honestly don’t believe in making fun of people for [their bodies] or anything, so if you don’t like it, leave.
Through it all, she offered her sympathetic insights on self-worth and self-care.

Selena went on to explain why the haters are irrelevant.
