Jenna Ortega in schoolgirl socks and patchwork suit at dinner
Jenna Ortega evoked her Nevermore Academy schoolgirl character Wednesday Addams in an ensemble hand-picked by designer Thom Browne for his 20th anniversary dinner at The Grill in Midtown Manhattan on Monday.
The 21-year-old former Disney Channel star wore girlish white knee socks with a silver-sequin patchwork shorts suit over a screen-printed necktie-and-collar top, and patent leather platform booties.

Jenna — who wore her brunette locks down — toted a matching Thom Browne patterned purse and wore statement earrings.
Ortega flashed a dimpled smile with a minimally made-up complexion and only a bit of mascara and sparkly shadow to bring out her brown eyes.
The Emmy nominee made sure to pose with the 58-year-old man of the hour, who was promoting his self-titled 420-page monograph published by Phaidon Press last Wednesday.

Thom — who calls Jenna ‘my birthday twin’ — famously enlisted her to represent his American fashion house at the Met Gala celebrating Karl Lagerfeld: A Line Of Beauty back on May 1.
While at the cocktail party, Ortega mingled with The Real Housewives of New York City star Jenna Lyons — who opted for a traditional blazer over a pleated skirt, calf-high socks, and wingtips.
Everyone there was suited and booted including Brooklyn singer King Princess and Highsnobiety editor-in-chief Willa Bennett.

The Adidas brand ambassador also caught up with Rosaline actress Isabela Merced at the fashion festivities.
At one point, Jenna was seen aiming an old-fashioned camera at a dapper partygoer while perching sideways in her seat at the dining table.
Ortega will next portray Mabel, a woman caught between debt-ridden fisherman brothers (Toby Wallace and Ben Foster), in Brian Helgeland’s crime drama Finestkind premiering December 15 on Paramount+.

The Cali native will also play Lydia Deetz’s (Winona Ryder) daughter in Tim Burton’s highly-anticipated comedy sequel Beetlejuice 2 — hitting US/UK theaters September 6,
2024 — alongside Michael Keaton, Catherine O’Hara, Monica Bellucci, and Willem Dafoe.
For her deadpan performance as Wednesday Addams, Jenna will compete for the outstanding lead actress in a comedy series trophy at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards, which air January 15 on Fox.
