Jennifer Lopez puts on a brave face despite dealing with Ben Affleck’s quiet treatment and her divorce «humiliation»
With her marriage to Ben Affleck failing, Jennifer Lopez appeared anxious last week when she inspected a different Beverly Hills property.
The 55-year-old Bronx native had to downsize from the $60 million married residence she bought with the 51-year-old actor, so she wore a stylish button-up blouse and subtle striped wide-leg pants to visit a $22 million home.
She wore her low-waisted slacks with a big heel, and tucked the top in after rolling up the sleeves.
Her face was framed by loose strands of her honey-blonde hair, which was put into a low ponytail.
It happens two weeks after Affleck celebrated her birthday in The Hamptons with family and friends, lavishing $20 million on a $20 million bachelor property in the Pacific Palisades.
Lopez and Affleck broke up, leaving her «furious and humiliated,» according to reports, ahead of an impending divorce filing.
Along with her husband, the singer has gained attention. The two have been the subject of divorce rumors since DailyMail.com exclusively disclosed that paperwork had been «finalized, but not yet turned in.»
Page Six was then informed by sources that Ben has refrained from divorcing Jennifer in an effort to «protect» her after it was revealed that the two are no longer on good terms.
«He’s humiliated her because she made a big deal that he’s the love of her life,» one insider added. Two years ago, they were just married twice. They’re not little children; this is sort of a record.
It’s also thought that because their respective children are involved, Jennifer is considerably more distraught about the divorce.
The insider said, «There are five kids involved in this.» She was aware that their families would mix. She still doesn’t quite believe it’s over.
Jennifer and her ex-husband Marc Anthony have 16-year-old fraternal twins named Max and Emme.
Actor Samuel, 12, Violet, 18, and Fin, 15, are shared by the Boston native with his former spouse Jennifer Garner.
Jennifer may move into a new house with almost 10,000 square feet, six bedrooms, and seven and a half bathrooms.
The 1927 Spanish-style home has undergone extensive renovations.
Zillow lists a chef’s kitchen with an eat-in breakfast nook, hand-stenciled wood beam ceilings, wood and inlaid floors, and courtyards as further features of the home.
A 1,000-bottle temperature-controlled wine room, an 800-square-foot gym, and a guest house are other features of the venue.
The 12-bedroom home Lopez and Ben shared is allegedly «way too big for her.»
The divorcing couple made headlines when they famously viewed over 80 homes before deciding on the $61 million mansion they bought in 2023.
Contrary to what some have thought, recent reports from those close to the matter state that JLo’s global superstar status has nothing to do with Ben and JLo’s marital troubles.
