As she promoted Monday’s edition of American Idol, Katy Perry looked adorable.
The 38-year-old performer was photographed at Hawaii’s Aulani Disney Resort, where the show is being taped, wearing a gorgeous animal print dress.
The vocalist of Fireworks has been a judge on the wildly popular singing competition series since 2018. She recently shared her plans for a new album and tour.
The California Gurls singer wore a pair of gold earrings to add glitter to her ensemble.
Her stunning jet-black hair fell gracefully across her back and contrasted beautifully with the vivid hue of her attire.
She also included a little note in the caption of the image, referring to herself as «Jane of the Jungle.»
During the sixteenth season of American Idol, which aired in 2018, Perry started making appearances as a judge.
The last season, which aired in 2015, was the fifteenth to air for the show, which had its first airing in 2002.
Alongside other judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, who both joined the program when it was overhauled, the Teenage Dream singer has been included.
Since the show’s initial premiere, Ryan Seacrest has been the longstanding host and has remained with it.
Regarding her behavior of former participant Sara Beth Liebe, who participated in the current 21st season of the show, Perry has recently been the center of controversy.
The singer later withdrew out of the competition after receiving criticism for being a young mother.
In an interview with Billboard, the Dark Horse vocalist discussed working on the show and said that participants did not need to be the program’s winners in order to gain from it.
If you can place highly — in the top 10, top 20 — just hustle your way there and use this as a springboard, she advised. «I think, really, this show is about mentorship and momentum,» she said.
Perry continued by saying that participants on the show shouldn’t anticipate their careers to be as simple as their time there.
Get used to the Band-Aid being pulled off because no one else will benefit from the situation. And really, really, that’s the reality we live in,» she remarked.
