Kourtney reflects on her decision to wear a short dress at Travis Barker’s weddiոg
The wedding attire worn by Kourtney Kardashian wasn’t to everyone’s taste. Nevertheless, the 43-year-old reality TV actress recently used Instagram to explain why she wanted a flirtatious,
short Dolce & Gabbana gown for her opulent Italian wedding to Travis Barker, 46, in May 2022. It all comes down to Guns N Roses, a legendary band from the 1990s!
The mom of three wrote in the caption of a March 19 photo carousel of the dress, along with images of planning the look,
«The first inspiration for my dress was when Travis and I were watching Guns N’ Roses ‘November Rain’ video one night before we were even engaged,
and we said to each other ‘this has to be our wedding. «I noticed that she was wearing a short dress.»
Naturally, Kourtney was alluding to the well-known, ultra-short, high-low wedding gown worn by supermodel Stephanie Seymour. In the 1992 power ballad’s music video,
Stephanie might be seen being married to GNR vocalist Axl Rose in a similar opulent wedding. Kourt added that the eye-catching lace and bustier style has been in the works for a year.
We started the design process for my wedding dress one year ago with our first in-person meeting with @dolcegabbana, she wrote.
Although though Kourtney stated that she already knew she wanted to host the star-studded event in Italy at the time, she still wanted to keep a «spontaneous» air about it.
She also disclosed what particular aspect caused her «chills.» The location of the wedding in Portofino also affected the vibrations and mood of the dress, she added in her subsequent article.

and recognized how meaningful it felt when @dolcegabbana recommended placing Travis’s head tattoo
of the Virgin Mary on the handmade lace veil with the words from his tattoo: family, loyalty, respect underneath. (With my tiny little veil.)
On May 22, 2022, Kourtney and the drummer for Blink-182 exchanged wedding vows in Portofino.
Yet before their official courthouse wedding in Santa Barbara on May 15, 2022, they had already performed a trial marriage ceremony in Las Vegas that April.
At the small ceremony in Santa Barbara, she also wore a white micro short dress.
