Little girl who lost her sight proves that miracles exist when she begins to see again
True miracles do take place occasionally.
A striking instance is the story of Evie-Mae Geurts, an English girl who overnight went blind.
Evie initially experienced cold-like symptoms before her eyes swelled and turned bright red.

Amy, her mother, brought her to the hospital, where she was informed by the staff that her child was blind since the eyes had stopped responding to light.
In addition, Evie had hydrocephalus, which caused her head to swell (fluid in the brain). The spouses of the Geurts were subsequently informed by the physicians that their child would never be able to see, talk, or walk.

The girl’s mother, however, was not ready to give up and sought the assistance of a neurosurgeon who, regrettably, confirmed the diagnosis and prognosis of earlier physicians.
But the tenacious Amy didn’t stop there. In order to transfer fluid from Evie’s brain to her bladder, she insisted on having surgery to build a shunt.
The girl may have died from the severe pressure on her brain, but thankfully the procedure went smoothly.

Within a year following the shunt, much to the doctors’ amazement, Evie-Mae had fully recovered.
Then the baby came back into view, she started to walk, and finally she spoke.
However, the headaches quickly reappeared, and everybody started to worry.
In fact, the hydrocephalus had simply vanished when the physicians examined the shunt to make sure it wasn’t obstructed. The shunt itself was the source of the pain. So, it was taken out.

Evie- May is currently doing well. She leads a completely typical, healthy child’s existence. She learns and perceives more than any of her classmates.
«Evie no longer uses a shunt to live. She is intellectually advanced for her age, speaks, walks, and sees. The reason she recovered is a mystery to the doctors. However, the fact that it took place is what matters most. She is a great and courageous young lady. said Amy Guerts.
