Miley Cyrus predicts she won’t go on another tour: I don’t want to do it
Although many are eagerly awaiting Miley Cyrus, 30, to tour in support of her most recent album, Endless Summer Vacation,
the singer may have dashed some hopes with her most recent remarks in the June issue of British Vogue.
The «Flowers» singer acknowledged she has no «desire» to go on a major arena tour after not having one for almost ten years. It has been a moment, Miley remarked.
«After my 2014 headline arena performance, I began to approach it more as a query. I am unable to. Not just ‘can’t,’ because you are capable of it, but also ‘wants’.
She said, «I’m done living my life for other people,» at the age of 30. Do I want to live my life for anyone else’s fulfillment or enjoyment besides my own? she jokingly said.
The singer of «Jaded» described playing in front of large crowds as «isolating» earlier. She admitted, «I love performing, but mostly for them [her friends].
«Like I don’t actually adore singing in front of hundreds of thousands of people. There is no relationship.
There is no security. It isn’t natural either, Miley continued. It’s very lonely because you are by yourself even in front of 100,000 people.
Later on in the interview, the former Disney Channel star talked about the online rumors that her ex-husband, 33-year-old Liam Hemsworth, is the subject of songs like «Flowers» and «Jaded.»
«I wouldn’t erase my story or want it to be erased,» Miley said. «Interesting storytelling comes from interesting lives.»
After secretly getting married in 2018, the 33-year-old and Miley reportedly dated for ten years before calling it quits for forever.
She was evasive when asked more directly if the songs were about him.
Miley stated, «I never need to be a master in the technique of misleading an audience. «It will ignite itself on its own.»
