Although Olivia Wilde hasn’t graced the Met Gala red carpet in seven years, she made a big statement when she returned in 2023!
On May 1, Olivia attended the Karl Lagerfeld-inspired evening at the Met, and she came to slay with her red carpet ensemble.
Olivia chose a white dress with gold paneling along the center for the high-profile night out. Olivia was able to show skin because the ensemble had cutouts on both sides.
The short-sleeved dress had a high neckline and was worn with cufflinks that were elbow-length and matched the paneling on the waist.
The Karl-designed Chloé Spring 1983 Violin Dress served as the model for this ensemble.
The actress also wore a stunning but understated glam look to finish off her ensemble.
The front sections of her hair were kept back with a light wavy curl, and the rest of her hair was straight and blow-dried.
She added a little sparkle to her otherwise sober color choice with dangling earrings.
Olivia most recently attended the Met Gala in 2016. She was wearing a halter-style dress to the occasion because she was pregnant with her second kid at the time.
As Olivia posed for pictures on the red carpet with Emily Blunt, her black gown hugged her midsection.
Her eye makeup was silver to match the large neckline of her dress, and her hair was pulled back in a smooth, slicked-back ponytail.
In 2015, she attended the Ball with her fiancé at the time, Jason Sudeikis, donning a low-cut pink outfit. When Olivia attended her first Met Gala in 2013, the ex-couple was also present.
Naturally, Olivia and Jason have since broken up. After splitting up in 2020, they have since been engaged in a custody dispute over their two children.
While Olivia was moderating a panel for her film Don’t Worry Darling at CinemaCon in 2022, Jason’s legal team served her with custody papers.
Although Jason has insisted that he had no idea when the papers would be served, she later criticized him in interviews for making this happen in such a public setting.
