Pete Davidson spent time in rehab due to his «unpredictable» career and his «miserable» feelings
An informant has alleged that Pete Davidson checked himself into a treatment center as a result of his «unpredictable» conduct and sadness over his breakup with Madelyn Cline.
Just a few days after telling his fans he had stopped using drugs, the 30-year-old comedian was found to have checked himself into a wellness center last month in order to receive treatment for his mental health.
After nearly a year of dating, Davidson and Cline, 26, called it quits in the same month. An exclusive source who saw Pete just before rehab told DailyMail.com: «Pete is generally miserable.»
The source claimed that Pete is only «truly happy» when he is working and performing on stage.
The actor has few films or TV shows scheduled aside from his Prehab Tour, which was canceled and was scheduled to continue until mid-October.
His next four projects are either in post-production or have just been finished.

«Pete doesn’t have stability in his life right now,» the source clarified. When everything is stable and he has his act together, he performs better.
He has never experienced such unpredictability in his career, which is why he finds it so worrisome. Uncertainty brings a lot of pressure, and that pressure can give rise to negative thoughts.
The insider asserted that the celebrity had to put his mental health first, despite the fact that he abruptly canceled the remaining dates of his comedy tour, hurting fans and losing money.
«He needs to have the proper mindset to go on stage and perform in front of thousands of people,» the person stated.
Because performing is his happy place, «he kind of puts on a front,» so occasionally people are unaware of the real struggles he faces because he cracks jokes about his life and giggles with the audience.

After breaking up with Outer Banks actress Cline, Pete is getting the most support from his family and friends.
According to the source, some of his closest friends were unaware that he was returning for treatment until they learned about it via the media.
A source revealed, «They know he’ll recover after receiving the help he needs and are wishing him the best no matter what.»
His friends are said to have given him a «wake-up call» about his spending habits months ago.
His buddies woke him up because he was spending all of his money. According to the insider, he was blowing thousands of dollars on excursions and private planes.
Pete Davidson’s agents have been approached by DailyMail.com for comment. Days before checking into a health center this summer, Pete acknowledged that he used other substances in the past but now admitted that he still smokes marijuana.
On July 20 at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, he performed stand-up comedy and admitted to the audience, «I can’t quit [weed] yet.»
All I have left is that. I f**ked all the medications and that s**t, and I did cocaine and ketamine. It’s almost over—all I have left is weed—but I’m hanging on a little while longer.

He also talked about his near-death encounter in March 2023 when he «drove into a garage» in Los Angeles, which led to charges of reckless driving.
On July 18, 2024, the misdemeanor case was dropped after he finished a safe driving course, 50 hours of community service with a neurosurgeon, and a visit to a morgue.
An eyewitness who exclusively contacted with DailyMail.com claims that Pete exclaimed, «Hooray?» to the audience at Ocean Casino’s Ovation Hall when he received a call informing them that his charges had been dropped. I suppose. I made a mistake. It’s not really something to rejoice about.
Pete stated that, in spite of the conditions imposed by the court, he was «having a good year» and was «very grateful» for his life.
After appearing in the late-night sketch comedy program for eight years, Pete declared in 2022 that he was departing Saturday Night Live. He starred in and executive produced the Peacock original series Bupkis last year, but he left the show after just one season.
Because Bupkis is so intimate and focused on my family and hardships, I have always thought of it as a window into my life. At the moment, the Staten Island King star shared.
«I wanted an opportunity to tell my story my way after having my personal life covered by the media for almost ten years.»

I’m most proud of Bupkis out of all the work I’ve ever done.»I do also feel that this part of my life is finished,» he said. I can’t wait for you all to see the work and for this next episode. I am eternally grateful to those of you who have supported me. Thank you.
In July 2023, Pete checked himself into a rehabilitation center in order to receive therapy for his diagnoses of borderline personality disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.
The celebrity even made light of his «post-rehab glow» at an Atlantic City comedy event the previous year. The actor’s mental health has «always been a priority,» a source said on Wednesday.
Following more than 200 live stand-up comedy performances across the nation, Davidson entered rehab.

The celebrity even made light of his «‘post-rehab glow'» at an Atlantic City comedy event the previous year.
«Pete will often check himself into rehab to work on these issues,» a another insider told PEOPLE. His family and friends have been encouraging to him at this time.
