Reese Witherspoon rocks a casual look in jeans and a button-down top while out and about
Reese Witherspoon doesn’t often miss an opportunity to promote reading and books as a whole.
And on Friday the Oscar-winning actress teamed up with fellow New York Times bestselling publisher and author Roda Ahmed for a book reading event in the courtyard of the Diesel bookstore inside the Brentwood Country Mart.

Witherspoon, 47, read from her second picture book in the New York Times bestselling Busy Betty series — Busy Betty & The Circus Surprise, which was illustrated by Xindi Yan.
The self-professed book nerd, whose new children’s book only just dropped earlier this month, was greeted by a number of eager fans who were thrilled to see the Hollywood star in person.
Flashing her trademark infectious smile, the Walk The Line star showed off casual-cool fashion sense in fitted blue jeans.

Witherspoon also wore a blue button-down shirt that she tucked into her jeans and a pair of leopard print pumps.
Rounding out her overall look, the longtime leading lady also donned cool sunglasses for her arrival to the event, and had her blonde tresses styled long and straight down past her shoulders with a part on the slight left.
Being the fan friendly star that she’s been since her film debut in The Man In The Moon (1991), she made a point to stop and sign some autographs, all while people snapped photos and videos for social media.

Eventually, Witherspoon had to go inside and take her place for her book reading at Diesel.
Along with being one of the more popular A-list actresses for three decades, the New Orleans, Louisiana native is also known for Reese’s Book Club, which is run under her media company Hello Sunshine.
Each month she takes to her Instagram page and shares her pick of the month.

Since its founding in 2017, the club has gained a reputation for boosting the careers of female authors such as Delia Owens, Celeste Ng, and Megan Miranda.
Witherspoon’s Busy Betty has been described as ‘an exuberant, smart,
and larger-than-life character who encourages young readers to tackle each obstacle with enthusiasm, excitement, and big ideas,’ in an Amazon promo.
