On May 1, 2023, Rita Ora and Taika Waititi were the relationship goals at the Met Gala! For a high-profile date night,
the two made their way to the red carpet, and their ensembles did not let them down.
Rita dressed in a black dress with translucent panels running down the middle to fit the Karl Lagerfeld theme. The gown had one shoulder and one arm that was hanging off the other sleeve.
The long, sheer train cascaded down the carpet, and there was a thick, choker collar to lend some fabric to the top portion of the outfit.
Taika, Rita’s husband, also attended the celebrity-studded event wearing a dress coat.
His black-trimmed, gray outfit had a side slit and matched his lovely date. White slacks were worn with the ensemble. Rita’s crimped curls completed her appearance.
She was positively radiant as she posed with her husband for photos, and the light makeup she wore made her complexion look immaculate.
Rita has frequently attended the Met Gala in the past. She didn’t attend the event in 2022, but Taika and she did in 2021.
In the early stages of their relationship, the appearance came just a few weeks after they made their red carpet debut together, making it an important occasion for them to be present at.
Rita attended the event for the first time in 2013 and has since become a fixture, making visits in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 (the event was canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19).
In August 2022, Rita and Taika secretly exchanged vows. In London, they were married.
It wasn’t until January that Rita finally confirmed the marriage when she opened up about her love life in an interview.
Rita declared, «I’m officially off the market, people.» «I chose to keep it more private and to keep it to myself more.»
She revealed that the «private» wedding was «exactly» what she had envisioned for her special day, nevertheless.
She continued, «There are times when it’s better to keep things to myself. It was pleasant and sweet. I apologize, but it’s not that interesting. We’ll hold a large party sometime.
