Star of Karate Kid Chad McQueen, 63, has passed away: Following an injury years earlier, the son of the late actor Steve McQueen goes away from organ failure

At the age of sixty-three, Chad McQueen, who had a supporting part in the first Karate Kid movie, passed away.

According to his longtime lawyer Arthur Barens, McQueen passed away on Wednesday at his Palm Desert, California, home from organ failure.

In addition to being a well-known actor, McQueen was the famous celebrity Steve McQueen’s son.McQueen’s lawyer claimed that his death was the result of steadily worsening organ failure brought on by a severe injury he had sustained years prior.

In his last moments, he was supposedly surrounded by his wife Jeanie and kids. McQueen’s children, Chase and Madison, along with his wife Jeanie, sent the following statement to Variety: «We regret to inform you of our father, Chad McQueen’s, passing.» He truly embodied a life full of love and dedication with his amazing journey as a loving father to us and his unwavering commitment to our mother.

They went on, «His love for racing was a tribute to the principles his father instilled in him, as well as a way for him to honor his father’s legacy and showcase his extraordinary talent.»

McQueen’s family stated, «He passed his passion, knowledge, and dedication down to us, and we will continue not only his legacy but also our grandfather’s.» As a family, we must get through this trying time, and we respectfully request your privacy while we honor and celebrate his remarkable life.

The 28th of December 1960 saw Chad’s birth. He was the only child of American actor Steve McQueen and his Filipina first wife, Neile Adams.

Terry Leslie McQueen, the couple’s daughter, passed away in 1998 at the age of 38. Neile married Steve in 1956, but the two parted ways in 1972.

Afterwards, McQueen wed Ali McGraw from 1973 to 1978 and Barbara Minty from 1980 until his demise from a heart attack later that year, immediately following surgery to remove several malignancies.

Chad McQueen returned to the character of Karate Kid in the 1986 film The Karate Kid Part II, having already starred in the 1984 original Karate Kid.

In contrast to many of his co-stars, McQueen did not appear in the widely watched sequel series Cobra Kai, which debuted on YouTube Red before transferring to Netflix, where its sixth and final season is set to conclude sometime in 2019. Dutch, one of his most reckless and aggressive Cobra Kai characters, was one of the most aggressive and careless members of the group.

Co-creator Josh Heald said to Entertainment Weekly in 2019 that McQueen had received inquiries about playing Dutch again.

But due to schedule conflicts, he was unable to make an appearance; therefore, to leave the door open, his character was represented as being incarcerated.

From 1987 to 1990, McQueen was first married to Stacey Rae Toten. The two had a son, actor Steven R. McQueen.

1993 saw Chad wed Jeanie Galbraith for the second time, and the couple went on to have two more children, Madison McQueen and Chase McQueen.

In 1978, McQueen played a small role in the film Skateboard, following in the footsteps of his well-known father who also pursued acting.

He never attained the same level of celebrity as the older McQueen, and his main credits were a number of direct-to-video films as well as modest supporting parts in television and cinema.

Though Steve would drive above 100 mph with Chad on his lap while filming Le Mans, he did share his father’s passion for racing.

He participated in races such as the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but a catastrophic incident during a practice lap for the Daytona International Speedway’s Rolex 24 event in 2006 brought an abrupt end to his driving career.

He sustained two spine fractures, a fractured left leg, and many broken ribs in the collision.

However, McQueen recovered enough to pursue his passion outside of the cockpit. He established McQueen Racing in 2010 and worked with automakers to produce exclusive, high-end automobiles and motorcycles that were meant for racing.

In addition to his 92-year-old mother Neile Adams, he is survived by his wife Jeanie, their three children, Madison, Chase, and Steven.
