Tate McRae is making sure her boyfriend The Kid LAROI is feeling the love on his birthday. McRae’s post was made a month after The Kid LAROI shared a picture of the two kissing on Instagram to confirm their connection.
On Saturday, August 17, the 21-year-old singer of «Greedy» celebrated the Australian rapper’s birthday on her Instagram Stories, posting a cute video of the two of them dancing and showing off their PDA in what looks to be a concert venue’s backstage area.
The «Stay» singer, who turned 21 on Saturday, was shown in the brief video whirling his girlfriend around and then bringing her back into his arms.
He then clung to her for a short while before the footage cut to the couple kissing tenderly and him putting his arm around her while kissing McRae on the head.
Over the video, McRae wrote, «Birthday boyyyyyy 👼.» «@thekidlaroi, I’m so thankful for you and I love you so much <3.»
After reposting the video on his Instagram Stories, LAROI commented, «🥺🥺🥺.»
After the rapper posted a picture of the pair kissing in public to honor McRae on her 21st birthday, the couple announced their relationship on social media last month.
«Happy 21st birthday 🥲❤️,» he said on Facebook. «You improve me! I’m in love with you, @tatemcrae.»
Though it seems that they had been hinting about the status of their relationship for the previous few months, his tweet came after months of rumors that the two were dating and after they were spotted on multiple public outings, occasionally even holding hands.
In a picture shared on social media, McRae was seen sporting a shirt that some fans thought belonged to LAROI. The «Girls» singer also revealed to his fans that McRae went a concert in Dublin and that his «girlfriend» was there.
In an interview with Zane Lowe earlier this year, the «Exes» singer expressed her admiration for her partner, calling him «awesome,» and talked about his connection to music. She praised LAROI, saying, «He’s so in love with music.» «I believe that to be the issue. He has excellent taste. He enters the studio just for the purpose of creating music. That seems like the coolest thing ever.
«Even talking to him, I really admire him,» she said. «I think he’s just such an unreal artist.»
Billboard questioned McRae on the iHeartRadio Music Awards red carpet on April 1 about whether or not she would collaborate with LAROI on a single. «I’m not sure,» she said, hiding her face. Yes, perhaps. He is incredible.
