The 18-year-old son of Madonna, maintains that his mother is’supportive’ of him and that he is not’starving’
David Banda, Madonna’s son, told supporters that he is «good» following remarks he made previously regarding «scavenging» for food.
The 18-year-old artist, who is currently dating 21-year-old rising model Maria Atuesta, used Instagram on Sunday to dispel rumors that, since leaving The Material Girl’s Upper East Side residence, he has been having financial difficulties.
The artist said, «To everyone who is worried, my mother is very supportive of me and she has always been supportive of me.» «My life is filled with happiness and I am not starving to death on the streets!»
«Please stop worrying, everything is good,» he said in closing.
The social media post follows David’s assertion on Friday during an Instagram Live session that he is living a modest life on his own in The Bronx, selling guitar lessons and «scavenging» for food because he «doesn’t have enough money.»
«I adore it.» With my girlfriend, I’m not alone. Still, I adore it,» he remarked at the time.
‘It’s a nice feeling to be hungry at nine at night and realize that I don’t have enough money to buy food, so I’m scavenging,’ he continued. Being young is fun.
In order to supplement his income, David teaches guitar online. Interested parties can schedule lessons through his main Instagram page, which has about 52k followers at the moment.
Notably, the guitarist went on the $600 million-plus Material Girl hitmaker’s Celebration Tour, which concluded in May with a free performance in Rio de Janeiro.
Notably, he once joined his mother on stage to play the guitar while Madonna performed popular song lyrics in front of live audiences.
The singer had previously gushed about David back in 2022 when she appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
She said to Fallon, «You know he makes music now, too,» and added, «He’s going to end up being one of your guests,» in a kind way.
Following a rundown of his skills, which include humor and athleticism, Madonna spoke of her son’s sense of style.
He can dress up in any attire and appear badass. It irritates me a lot. He looks better in my clothing when he wears them.
‘[He’s] the one I have the most in common with,’ she added of Banda in a 2019 interview with British Vogue. He has more of my DNA than any of my children to date, so I feel like he gets me.
The singer made headlines last year when a bacterial ailment nearly killed her. She talked about how David and her five other kids «saved» her during her health issue on Instagram in April.
«I need to acknowledge my incredibly talented children who carried me through this journey, each of them bringing their own unique talent to the stage,» she wrote on the day before the Celebration Tour’s 80th event.

In an Instagram Live, Banda reportedly said that his mother is seeing a mystery man, but he did not reveal who it is. This is according to The Sun.
In all honesty, she is not unmarried. She is seeing a man…Her life is like that. David stated, «She’ll do what she wants to do.»
It happened soon after Madonna posed for a picture on July 4th with a handsome mystery man.
It was disclosed in May of this year that Madonna and boxer Josh Popper had broken up after a year of dating.
Madonna’s schedule was so busy that she didn’t get to visit Josh for months. Things simply faded away, a source at the time told The Sun.
They still have a fondness for one another, therefore there isn’t really any bad blood. They have cooled things off and realized that their relationship isn’t realistic right now, but they are still friends.
David’s relationship with model Maria Atuesta, which they allegedly started this year, was also made public in May.
The Sun was informed by a different source that David and Maria are completely enamored with one another. She is his first girlfriend, which is really endearing.
«He was committed to make things work, so they stayed in touch throughout their global travels with his mother.»

David posted pictures of his girlfriend on Instagram, including one where she grinned broadly at the camera.
