The kitten climbs up the officer after the officer rescues him from the snow and insists on coming home with him
During a nighttime patrol, Platteville, Wisconsin, police officer Matt Froiseth unintentionally heard a small cat squeak next to his car.
He started to look about and discovered that the sounds were coming from a deep, nearby ditch that was covered with snow.
Even though he could not see any cats in the snowdrift, Froiseth could tell that the unfortunate creature was in close proximity because its plaintive meow grew louder and more urgent.
The officer eventually discovered this baby caught among the ice chunks after climbing into the ditch and traversing it.
It turned out to be a black teenage kitten with large eyes.
He was promptly picked up by Froiseth and given a hearty embrace. The snow that was clinging to his fur was then thoroughly removed. After that, he put the kitten in his car.
The kitten was quite chilly, but once inside the car, he warmed up and started to thank the rescuer.
He rose onto his shoulder and began to purr. The remainder of the evening was spent by the kitten and Froiseth.
Froiseth brought the kitten to the police station after the shift.
He intended to take him to the veterinarian before finding him a long-term residence.
However, the kitten was soundly sleeping while curled up inside his black hat, and Froiseth was unable to part with him.
Nevertheless, he later took him to the vet. The inspection also revealed the kitten to be in perfect health.
Froiseth was unable to leave him yet again.
The kitten slept only in his arms and clung to him constantly to be caressed.
Officer Froiseth struggled to refuse after some deliberation. It was real love at first sight when this adorable little kitten was finally given a permanent home.
Donut, a real police name, was given to the kitten by Froiseth.
Donut proceeded to unwaveringly follow his man inside Froiseth’s home. He really enjoys lying on his arms and back while sitting on them.
