The largest relationship ever for the fashion mogul and Naomi Campbell is a historic collaboration
Supermodel Naomi Campbell has signed a landmark collaboration with fashion giant PrettyLittleThing.
The British fashion icon, 53, who became a mother for the second time this week, designed the new collection of statement looks
and timeless pieces and will be launching her exclusive line in New York this September during Fashion Week.
In PLT’s biggest partnership to date, Naomi will be fronting the range that was shot earlier this year in Los Angeles
and combines her flawless style with the online brand’s dedication to giving their customer glamorous, celebrity-inspired looks at an affordable price.
Naomi’s collaboration with the brand comes after years of friendship with former CEO Umar Kamani, 35, who stepped down from the helm in April but has still been heavily involved in the top-secret project.
As one of the fashion industry’s pioneers, after becoming the first ever black model to grace a British Vogue cover in 1988, as well as having over three decades of experience under her designer belt,
sources close to PrettyLittleThing say the brand is ecstatic to have her on board.
A fashion insider told MailOnline: ‘This is huge, it’s such a privilege for Naomi to be fronting her own collection with PLT.
‘It has been discussed for years between Naomi and Umar but finally now their ideas have come to fruition and soon the rest of the world will see everything they have been working on.
‘Naomi is of course a total perfectionist and has designed the range, ensuring every detail has been carefully executed.’
The collaboration will be Naomi’s first venture following the birth of her second child, who she introduced to her 15.2million Instagram followers on Thursday.
Her newborn son, whose name remains unknown, is the model’s second baby after she welcomed a daughter in May 2021.
She captioned an image of her cradling her son while her daughter held his hand:
‘My little darling, know that you are cherished beyond measure and surrounded by love from the moment you graced us with your presence. A true gift from God. Blessed! Welcome baby boy.’
She added: ‘It’s never too late to become a mother.’
Naomi has never revealed how her daughter was born but previously hinted she may have used a surrogate by saying science had given her an opportunity to start a family ‘whenever she wants.’
