The trailer for Emily in Paris shows Emily as ready for «new experiences,» but she is still torn between Gabriel and Alfie
Season 4 of «Emily in Paris» will debut on Netflix in two segments, with the first half premiering on August 15 and the second half on September 12.
It’s almost time to bid Emily from Paris Season 4 farewell.
According to the official synopsis, the new episodes of the popular Netflix series will begin with Emily (Lily Collins) «reeling» after the «dramatic events of Camille (Camille Razat) and Gabriel’s (Lucas Bravo) misbegotten wedding.»
«She has strong feelings for two men, but now Gabriel’s expecting a baby with his ex, and Alfie’s (Lucien Laviscount) worst fears about her and Gabriel have been confirmed,» the description goes on.
As they continue to strive «for a Michelin star,» Emily and Gabriel are discovering that although their chemistry is obvious, «two big secrets threaten to undo everything they’ve dreamed of.»
The teaser for the next season shows Emily determined to be single after her heartbreaking separation with Alfie was caused by her lingering feelings for Gabriel.
«On my run, you know what I saw? Emily informs her friend and roommate Mindy (Ashley Park), who she thinks is in the shower, «Hot men everywhere.» «I suppose I’ve been so preoccupied with Gabriel and Alfie that I’ve forgotten what it’s like to be alone.» Moreover, because I’m not with either of them anymore,
Emily is about to have a surprise, though, when Gabriel appears behind the shower curtain and inquires, «You’re not with Alfie?» Emily is aware that their love story isn’t without difficulties, despite his obvious interest in her relationship status.
Gabriel is «still having a baby, with a woman who’s in love with another woman, and I’m the only one that knows about it,» she later tells Mindy.
However, Mindy brushes off the issue, stating, «Well, no relationship is perfect.»
Emily’s troubles are compounded by the fact that her split from Alfie «is all over the internet» and appears on billboards around Paris.
Emily is told by Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) that «you broadcast your entire life for public consumption, and now it’s affecting my business.» «Adjust this.»
It should come as no surprise that Emily’s attempts to mend her love life don’t work out. Alfie is knocked out in his boxing gym when she interrupts him. Alfie tells her he needs «more time,» but she insists they still «need to talk.»
Following their mutual declaration that they «are sick of secrets,» Emily comes to the conclusion that perhaps she is «someone who’s ready for new experiences.»
«My entire life, I’ve been residing in the gray area. Sylvie tells her, ‘I didn’t envision you accepting it. In reply, Emily says, «I’m trying.»
«They both mean so much to me for different reasons, but I really thought that I could move on from them,» she continues.
When Emily walks into a masked event at the end of the trailer, she sees Gabriel and Alfie on opposing sides of the room. Her voiceover states, «I told myself I’d be open to any possibility, and this seems like the one.»
As Mindy and her band prepare for Eurovision, Emily is still working on her romantic life. Meanwhile, Sylvie is «forced to confront a thorny dilemma from her past for the sake of her marriage, and the Agence Grateau team navigates personnel shakeups,» according to the official synopsis.
Emily in Paris’s fourth season will premiere in two parts on August 15 and September 12, respectively. Netflix currently offers streaming for Seasons 1-3.
