What happened to Kerry Washington? She missed the premiere of the 2nd season of «Free from Jail»
Although her co-stars from UnPrisoned attended the season 2 premiere, Kerry Washington stayed warm and comfortable at home.
The 47-year-old actress did not attend the New York City red carpet on Tuesday, July 16, following her COVID-19 test results. On the day of the event, she informed her followers on social media.
Washington posted an Instagram selfie with the message, «I’m not sure what’s worse right now, being sick with COVID or being sick with FOMO,» along with a sobbing emoji.
She was wearing a long-sleeved knitted white top in the one picture. The recipient of the NAACP Image Award put her hair in a high ponytail, applied no makeup, and buried her face in her hands during the photo.

I am so proud of our Unprisoned family and very excited about Season 2! 😍 She went on, «It’s unbelievable that I’m not there to celebrate our incredible cast and crew tonight!»
She wrote that «after crying way, way too much,» she decided to gather everything she would require for «a proper watch party.»
There was a big bowl of popcorn and a lone person at a table. Additionally, cranberry juice was served in a wine glass as, in Washington’s words, «it’s very high in vit C!»

«I suppose you and I will be watching it on HULU tomorrow! Hooray! You are going to adore it, I’m sure of it! She came to an end.
The connection between Washington’s Paige Alexander, a relationship therapist, and her father Edwin, played by Delroy Lindo, who was formerly incarcerated, is the central theme of the Hulu comedy UnPrisoned.
After her widely shared TED lecture in the season one finale, Washington told PEOPLE that, in season two, viewers should anticipate Paige addressing her intimacy issues stemming from the generational trauma of an absent father.

The premise of Washington’s TED talk was that, although it’s sometimes easier to «talk the talk» than «walk the walk,» Paige is now adjusting to the reality of attempting to be who she wants to be. «I believe that your ideal self can change over time.»
