After their divorce, Jennifer Lopez shows her ex-boyfriend Ben Affleck what he’s missing in an incredibly skimpy costume at the Unstoppable movie premiere
At the star-studded Unstoppable movie premiere, Jennifer Lopez made waves in an extremely exposing gown that was fastened with just three black bows and exposed down the sides. She was dating her estranged husband Ben Affleck.
The diva, 55, drew eyebrows on Friday night when she arrived at Roy Thomson Hall for the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival. Despite her ongoing divorce, she looked wonderfully beautiful and didn’t wear panties.
She accessorized her silver Tamara Ralph dress, which had a disco ball theme, with Hassanzadeh jewelry and open-toed heels. The Hustlers actress had her light brown, waist-length hair loose and cascading down her back.
The movie, which stars Lopez with Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, and Don Cheadle, was produced by her former spouse.
The mother of two, who is renowned for pushing boundaries with her red carpet appearances, made sure she was the center of attention by choosing to show off her beautifully toned body and going without underwear.
Lopez showed off her stunning curves and well-known booty from the side with confidence. Just two and a half weeks have passed since she filed for divorce on the anniversary of her and Affleck’s two-year marriage.
The Let’s Get Loud hitmaker was thrilled to «head to the Toronto Film Festival to promote this film because Unstoppable means a lot to her and she wants to support it,» a source told DailyMail.com, despite navigating the end of her fourth marriage. She is honored to have been a part of this wonderful true life narrative. An additional high point for her was acting in the film, the source said.
Jennifer wants the movie to succeed as much as possible because it has been receiving a lot of attention. She constantly puts in a lot of effort to give her films the best chance possible and is a true professional.
And her efforts paid off, as Anthony Robles, who served as the film’s producer and stunt double for Jharrel Jerome, the actor playing him, as well as the movie’s inspiration, gave her a standing ovation and expressed his admiration. Lopez played Judy Robles, the mother of the wrestling champion, in the movie.
Robles told PEOPLE during the Toronto International Film Festival premiere that it was challenging to disclose the suffering he went through in real life in order to adapt his personal story for the screen.
He did observe, though, that Lopez and the ensemble ‘nailed it.’ «I think the hardest part was just having to tell the uncomfortable things,» he remarked. But I believed that people needed to understand my suffering in order for me to properly share my story and have the greatest possible impact. They needed to be aware of the wounds I sustained and the struggles I faced.
«I think that was tough for me, but it was also therapeutic,» he concluded. Robles expressed his satisfaction with the «overall message» although mentioning that there were «a couple of things here and there that weren’t able to fit in the film.»
The legendary wrestler continued, saying, «We nailed it and this team nailed it,» and gave Lopez and the movie a standing ovation as the credits rolled.
In addition, Robles gave a motivational speech in which he underlined that «you can overcome anything you’re wrestling with.» It’s possible to be unstoppable.
Based on his inspiring life story, the biopic was directed by Affleck, who did not show up for the premiere, and his close friend Matt Damon. As previously reported by DailyMail.com earlier this week, certain producers of the film were pushing for Lopez and her ex to attend the Toronto premiere together in order to generate interest for the picture.
A source told DailyMail.com that Lopez would be making a «quick trip» and that «she has other matters to attend to,» despite the fact that Affleck was not there.
After playing in the Special Presentations section of the Toronto International Film Festival, Amazon MGM Studios will release the movie in limited theaters in December 2024.Ben and his old friend Damon co-founded Artists Equity, the production company behind the project.
Among the 14 producers of the movie are 53-year-old Damon and actor Affleck. Production on the Amazon MGM Studios movie was completed in January.
The biopic’s release coincides with Lopez’s divorce filing from Affleck, which was announced shortly after their April separation
The pair previously appeared in the films Jersey Girl (2004) and Gigli (2003). Additionally, he made appearances in her documentaries The Greatest Love Story Never Told and This Is Me… Now.
The main character of Unstoppable is wrestler Anthony Robles, who competed at Arizona State University in 2011 and won a national championship despite only having one leg.
Michael Peña, Bobby Cannavale, and Don Cheadle make up the supporting cast, with actor Jharrel Jerome (Moonlight) playing the role of Robles. William Goldenberg, who previously edited Ben Affleck’s movies Air (2023) and Argo (2012), is directing Unstoppable.
Kiss of the Spiderwoman is another film that Affleck and Lopez collaborated on. It is set in an Argentine prison in 1981 and is based on the same-titled novel by Manuel Puig.
In the lead part, Lopez plays Aurora, a make-believe woman designed by Luis Molina (Tonatiuh), a gay hairstylist incarcerated for eight years for allegedly corrupting a juvenile. Through Artists Equity, Affleck and Damon are among the co-producers.
In March 2023, Affleck was questioned by CBS Sunday Mornings regarding working with Lopez on the movie.
«Doing something with her, watching her shine, going to work with your wife, going to work with your best friend—what fun, what a joy,» he exclaimed.
«I believe that one of the things that can really cause depression, anxiety, and pain for people is if you don’t like who you’re working with, or if you have difficulty or trouble at work,» he continued at the time.
On the other hand, you most likely lead a happy life if you get along well with the individuals you work with.
During the interview, Affleck added, «Can’t make it look like she’s doing it as a favor to me, but actually she is.» The currently estranged couple married in July 2022 in Las Vegas.
When Variety asked Lopez earlier this year if she and Affleck would work together again on a film, she had said, «Maybe, in the right thing.» «I mean, we love working together and being together, so maybe,» she continued.
