Amal Clooney supports husband George at the Wolfs premiere looking stunning in a corsetted gown with a dramatic ruffled skirt
Amal Clooney and her husband George attended the 81st Venice Film Festival, and Amal looked amazing.
The 46-year-old human rights attorney dazzled on the red carpet at the premiere of his newest movie, Wolfs, wearing a yellow gown reminiscent of a corset.
Amal’s dress had a dramatic ruffled skirt that fell from a delicately lace bodice that was cinched in at the waist.
To complete her glam appearance, she wore a glittery box clutch purse and curled her hair into a voluminous blow dry.
At the much-awaited ceremony, the couple appeared to be as in love as ever as they posed for pictures, with her arm around George, 63.
George co-stars with Brad Pitt in the movie as criminal «clean up» experts who are unintentionally engaged for the same task—removing a body from a hotel room.
Actors Brad Pitt and George Clooney reportedly received $35 million apiece for their roles in the caper movie and demanded that it be released in theaters.
However, the film’s creators Apple had a change of heart, and now the $200 million+ movie, which is only playing in US theaters for a week, is only being released.
It will be available for streaming only in the remaining regions, making it the most costly TV movie ever produced.
After a string of costly movies that the streamer produced, such as Napoleon, Killers of the Flower Moon, and Argylle, all failed at the box office, Apple had a change of heart.
Clooney refuted reports that their costs reached $35 million, stating that the actual amount was «many, many millions below» that sum.
However, he went on, calling the way things had turned out a «bummer.» «We would have liked that, we wanted that, and Brad and I returned a portion of our salary to do that,» he stated. It occurs that there have been some hiccups along the route.
«It’s unfortunate, of course it’s unfortunate, but a lot of people are going to see the movie, and a few hundred theaters will be hosting its premiere.» An broader release would have been welcome.
Although he acknowledged that the economics of streaming had not yet been «figured out,» he did say that «we are figuring it out.» We require Apple and Amazon, and they require 100-year-old companies like Sony or Warners.
«I love the existence of the streamers because it’s a delicate balance—we get to see more story, more talent, and it gets seen by more eyes,» stated Pitt.
When asked about the movie starring two enormous stars going straight to streaming, Clooney responded with a deadpan, «Clearly we are in decline.»
The two men last collaborated on a film, Burn After Reading, fifteen years ago. They have been friends for many years.
Clooney stated: «We thought maybe we would try it 15 years later. In Burn After Reading, I got the extreme pleasure of shooting him in the face.»
I’ve been doing this both alone and with Brad for a very long time. It has performed rather well throughout time. The way we constantly taunted and joked with one other seemed effortless.
Pitt stated, «We figured there had to be a good reason to get into a film together, something that we could build upon.» The two men are already preparing to appear in a follow-up. I also have to admit that working with people that I enjoy spending time with has grown increasingly essential to me as I’ve gotten older.
The project’s financier, Apple, spent more than £1 million to rent the entire Cipriani hotel for Pitt, Clooney, and their guests for the weekend.
These acquaintances include Apple CEO Tim Cook, who previously spent time with the Clooneys at their vacation house on Lake Como, and Clooney’s agent Bryan Lourd, who went out to dinner with Amal on Saturday night.
They also feature Jon Watt, the film’s director, who has since returned home after being ill in Venice.
