Danny Cipriani slams ex-wife Victoria for their divorce
After Victoria Rose filed for divorce, Danny Cipriani lashed out at her, accusing her of «hoodwinking» and manipulating him into their relationship from the beginning.
Nine months after Victoria, 42, and the 36-year-old ex-rugby star parted up, she filed for divorce last week, accusing him of using £600 a month for drugs and flirting with other women while they were married.
However, Danny has now retaliated, refuting her assertions and placing the blame for their breakup on Victoria, claiming that their four-year romance was based on deceit. In a shocking new interview, he declared that Victoria had been lying to him about her past since their first encounter, telling him wild stories about herself, such as being wanted by MI5 and inheriting millions of pounds.
«Looking back, I realize how much she fooled me,» he said to The Sun. I wanted to believe her, though. I have the impression that I don’t know her. I don’t believe I ever did as I am ignorant of the reality.

Before Victoria became pregnant, Danny said their relationship had been «nothing serious,» and that’s when things «truly changed him» and made him miss the «warning signs.» Tragically, the couple lost their 23-week-old son, River, in June 2020.
He continued by saying that once they started to doubt the details Victoria had shared about her background and told him he needed to «get out,» his loved ones started to «worry about him.»
However, Danny insisted that nothing improper was happening and that he was actually sitting with a «long-term friend» who was a «spiritual lady,» and Victoria had just lost her anger because she was intoxicated.
Victoria stated in an interview conducted last week that she felt «humiliated» when Danny moved on with actress AnnaLynne McCord and that he had cheated on her while they were married. She claimed to have seen messages from other women on his phone and added that when he stopped playing for Bath, their marriage become more and more tense.

He ignored her past as a Lothario and admitted that she felt as though the «wool had been pulled over her eyes.»Victoria was «humiliated» when Danny revealed his connection with 36-year-old AnnaLynne on Instagram, months after their breakup. The pair documented their whirlwind romance.
She added that she had filed for divorce because of his drug usage, claiming that Danny would spend £600 a month on narcotics. He would eat chocolate bars laced with mushrooms, but ‘would function so well’ that she wouldn’t be able to tell if he was on them or not, she claimed.
In the past, Danny has acknowledged using cocaine, a psychedelic toad made of crystals, and so much magic mushrooms that he thought Victoria was attempting to murder him.
But in his most recent interview, the former athlete refuted Victoria’s allegations that he used drugs frequently.
He claimed to consume marijuana two or three times a month and disclosed that he had recently attended a retreat in Costa Rica where he had consumed ayahuasca, a well-known psychoactive beverage from South America with hallucinatory effects. Danny claimed that the psychedelic had allowed him to «heal» and reach his happiest state ever.
Following his breakup with Victoria, Danny posted a statement on Instagram informing his followers that he ‘just hoped the best’ for his former partner. In a since-deleted post, Victoria then unexpectedly disclosed that she was only’made aware of the situation at the same time as the public’.

The well-known figure talked about the trying period and expressed regret for her «emotionally charged response.» Danny publicly announced our breakup without consulting me or giving me any advance notice, the woman wrote. I’m in a lot of agony because I found out about the problem at the same time as the whole population. If my responses and reactions have come out as emotional or reactive, I apologize.
The fact is that I am still going through a tough period, therefore it is difficult for me to watch Danny talk openly about our split when I am still lacking the strength to accept it, grow past it, and go on.
‘I really don’t want to get caught up in the hype,’ Victoria said in closing. I apologize to anyone I may have hurt.
