Despite making millions of dollars from her family’s $100 million Hulu agreement, Kylie Jenner bails out of another reality TV trip due to «anxiety,» leaving her sisters inconsolable
This week’s episode of The Kardashians featured Kylie Jenner canceling a trip at the last minute, leaving her sisters furious as she refused to show off her romance with Timothee Chalamet to the cameras.
The entire Kardashian-Jenner family became executive producers and received equal compensation when they inked a $100 million contract with Hulu.
The show’s least noticeable character, 26-year-old Kylie, upset her sisters this week by canceling a planned family vacation to Aspen.
Kim acknowledged that she was taken aback by Kylie’s arrival, saying, «I really can’t believe Kylie showed up.»
Although Kylie admitted to being enthusiastic about the trip, her anxiousness increased to the point where she asked to leave, even as the jet was taxiing on the runway, after learning of the plane’s delay caused by bad weather.
A stewardess informs them that there will be a 30-minute delay due to bad weather. The jet is still on the ground 48 minutes after they cut to that scene.
The captain can be heard stating, «Grand Junction is the only airport in that area that I can currently get into. I just need the visibility in Rifle to get a little bit better for us to get in there.»
When Kendall inquires about the distance between Grand Junction and Aspen, Kris responds, «With the snow, it’s at least a three-hour drive.»
«I don’t believe that is secure.» I detest driving in the wintertime. Three crashes happened nearby when I was in Aspen the last time. My helper went crazy,’ Kylie claims.
While on a grounded private flight, Kylie is instructed not to discuss about crashes. She responds, «I’m just saying I don’t want to drive three hours in the snow.»
«Kylie’s anxiety is kicking in and I totally understand,» admits Kris in a confessional statement. There are a lot of moving parts at the moment, you know.
«I’m here, I’m ready, I’m packed, I’m ready to go,» declares Kylie to everyone. «I refuse to visit Grand Junction,» they said, pausing for twenty-three minutes.
«I think the best bet is to let me launch to Grand Junction and let me see what that weather is looking like,» the pilot says, noting that he will be making progress reports.
The pilot responds, «Oh, 100%,» to Kendall’s question about his «positive» likelihood of making Grand Junction. Kendall responds, «Oh, then let’s just go.»
Kylie admits, «I’m really good at flying, at least right now.» I’ve improved a lot over the last few years, but I still experience a lot of anxiety.
As everyone on the plane asks, «Kylie, why would you say that?» Kylie responds, «I’ve been having a really bad feeling for the last two days.»
Kendall remarks, «Kylie, the fact that you even put that out in the universe is one of the weirdest things,» and Khloe concurs, saying, «That’s a terrible thing to say.» Kylie continues, «Couldn’t even sleep last night.»
«What am I supposed to say?» Kylie queries. Simply keep it inside, okay? and as Kendall states, «You’re not supposed to speak it into existence,» they all respond in the affirmative.
«I’m just not comfortable right now and I’m thinking about my kids,» Kylie admits. Maybe I’m being dramatic, but I get a feeling that something isn’t safe.
The family is unsure of how to respond, so Kylie tells them all, «I just have a really bad feeling,» and she continues, «I don’t like these series of events.» I believe I will be released.
As Kris offers, «We can go and fly to Grand Junction,» Kim argues that everything will be alright. Kylie responds, «I don’t want to go.»
They’ve started taxiing down the runway, so Khloe encourages Kylie to «tell the guy» that she wants to get off. «I just have a lot of anxiety,» Kylie continues.
Confessionally, Kris states, «I want to get off the plane the minute Kylie says turn around. I know she’s serious, and I know the anxiety is overwhelming because she’s really worried.»
Kendall remarks, «We’re already taxiing, now we have to go back in,» as Kris informs the stewardess that Kylie wishes to exit the aircraft.
«I’ve known Kylie since the day she was born, and I’m not discrediting her panic,» confesses Kendall. She has a pattern for doing this, albeit I’m not sure why.
She has often demonstrated this. She probably just believes that she can get away with doing whatever.
Kim and Kendall begin to gripe as the jet stays on the ground while Kylie is on the phone with Kris.
But things are always this way. Kim remarks, «Everyone always… it’s always f***ing like this,» to which Kendall responds, «It’s very f***ing annoying that she always gets out of this s**t.»
Confession time from Kris: «I know the other girls are mad, but it’s one of my babies.» Naturally, I will accept that and not be upset with her. I wish for her to be anxiety-free.
Kendall angrily declines Kris’s offer to hand her the phone, declaring, «I’m the wrong one.» I’m not the right person.
Before Kylie can find a way back to the airport, Kris asks, «Would you still like to come along?» Khloe yells, «Why don’t you just hang up the phone?»
«Just move on, she’s not getting on,» Kim quips, «And you’re never going to get your luggage back.»
As Kris claims they’re about to take off and hangs up, they all start screaming that they’re going to wear her clothes.
As the plane takes off, Khloe exclaims, «This is going to be a great trip,» and Kris confides, «I just hope she’ll figure it out, calm down, change her mind, and join us in Aspen.»
«We made it to Aspen, minus one,» Kim admits as the plane arrives. The irony is that we think, «Kylie never shows up.»
Even if, in a formal sense, she didn’t follow through, I still hope Kylie appears.
As Kris delivers them a text from Kylie about their jokes about her luggage, they all pile into a waiting SUV.
«Some of those outfits on the plane are my Paris stuff from designers,» Kylie remarked. I know they were kidding, but I brought some for Aspen, so please make sure nobody really wears anything, as I won’t have time to acquire more clothes before I go to Paris.
As Khloe responds, «No, we are definitely wearing it,» and Kim offers, «Let’s undo the stitches so when she puts it on it all unravels,» they all begin to joke.
While Khloe remarks, «She always does,» Kim continues, «I just really can’t believe Kylie managed to get out of everything.»
«I know the girls are upset, and they’re upset because they wanted to spend time with Kylie,» admits Kris.
As she is my lone snowboarding partner, Kendall admits, «I definitely get really sad when she kinda bails on things like this, especially this trip.»
«Heck, I was excited, but everyone else skis, and we grew up doing it together, so part of it is definitely just sadness for me,» she continues.
In a confessional tone, Kris states, «I’m not giving up just yet.»
«My prayers and hopes are that Kylie shows up in Aspen, changes her mind, and appears magically,» Kris continues.
