Following a private and intimate proposal, Demi Lovato and her boyfriend are now engaged
Pop star Demi Lovato is engaged to her boyfriend Jordan Lutes after one year of dating.
Jutes, 31, popped the question with a stunning pear-shaped diamond solitaire engagement ring and they celebrated with their families after the «personal and intimate proposal».
In the engagement photos, the pair donned matching all-black outfits and smiled for the cameras.
They stood on a floor covered in red roses and teeny-tiny candles. A rep for the Cool For The Summer hitmaker confirmed the engagement news exclusively to People.
The two went public with their romance in August 2022. Singer Demi, also 31, first met with her now fiancé when they co-wrote her song, Substance, in January 2022.
Earlier this year, Demi opened up about her relationship with Jutes during an episode of the PodcastOne podcast, LadyGang.
The Camp Rock actress said: «The way that I met my boyfriend was actually in a session. He is a musician himself, but he also co-writes on other people’s music.»
She continued: «So he came into the session, and I literally was like, ‘Who is this guy?’
I texted my friends and was like, ‘Oh my God, the hottest guy just walked In. I am so nervous. I don’t know what to do with myself’.
In July 2023, in an interview with SiriusXM, Demi gushed: «Well, we became friends first.
We were friends for several months, and then we decided to start dating, and well after we told each other how we felt. «I’m super happy and he’s my best friend.»
This is not the only time the first time the singer has attempted to walk down the aisle. Demi previously had a relationship with the Young and the Restless actor, Max Ehrich.
