Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are back! 17 years after the end of the original series, the famous duo reunite
This Monday, inside a Sonic Drive-In in California, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie began filming their The Simple Life revival series.
Wearing matching blue T-shirts and aprons over their street clothes, the 45-year-old Estee Lauder fresh face and the 43-year-old heiress flaunted their lengthy legs.
Paris accessorized her flowing hair with a pair of sporty, rimless sunglasses and covered it with a Sonic visor.
Richie showed up to set wearing a stylish brown minidress with no sleeves and her blonde hair pulled back into a tidy ponytail.
She completed the ensemble with white slingback heels with pointed toes.
Hilton walked confidently through the drive-thru fast food restaurant lot wearing round-toed shoes adorned with glittering stones.
She carried a denim purse, shaped like a heart, personalized with her name written across it in capital letters.
The billionaire, who has a partnership with Razr phones, discreetly promoted the business by tucking a stylish pink smartphone into her apron pocket.
Nicole used to dress up as a hotdog at one point, staying true to her lighthearted and humorous attitude.
The two women were seen chatting with a patron who drove up to the restaurant in a gray SUV. The women had been close friends since they were young.
To honor the 20th anniversary of the humorous reality series, Paris made an appearance on social media in July to give a sneak peek at the future series.
In a video posted to Instagram, Paris stated, «Hey guys, just got home from shooting with Nicole.»
She began the video by saying, «As some of you may know, we are doing a reunion special to celebrate 20 years of our show.»
As she interacted with her millions of followers, she said, «It’s been so much fun and we’re planning something very, very special and I thought the best place to find the people that I would want to be a part of this is here.»
Paris continued by asking viewers to list their favorite episodes and moments from the first TV series and to describe what they enjoyed most about it.
«We love watching your TikToks and when you guys use the different sounds from the show and dressing up as us on Halloween,» she said, urging her audience.
It was such a unique show. The greatest recollections ever. The mother of two exclaimed, «We wanted you guys to be a part of this because it’s such a huge part of our life and we love our fans so much.»
‘I’m very pleased to be doing this with Nicole on Peacock,’ Hilton concluded, mentioning that her series Paris in Love is also available on the streaming service.
Since we were two years old, Nicole has been my best friend. I have many memories of her.
Runtime for the program was 2003–2007.
She reaffirmed, «Simple Life is such a special show,» and said, «I can’t wait for fans to see this because it’s going to be so iconic.»
