Selena Gomez shared a cozy photo with her boyfriend, continuing to flaunt her relationship
Selena Gomez isn’t letting the fan backlash stop her from flaunting her love for boyfriend Benny Blanco.
On Tuesday, the singer, 31, shared a cozy snapshot with the music producer, 35, on her Instagram Story.
In the photo, Blanco is seen hugging Gomez from behind as she smiles with her chin resting on his neck.
The Disney Channel alum shocked fans when she revealed last week that she’s been dating Blanco for the past six months.
Days earlier, Gomez showed off her ‘B’ ring for the second time on her IG Story.
No doubt that Selena wanted her 429million fans to notice as the ring was turned upside down so it could be seen clearly in the image.
The photo comes shortly after the Spring Breakers star furiously defended her boyfriend against fans who accused him of ‘shading’ her in the past.
Fans were particularly angered by a resurfaced interview where Benny appeared to call her a ‘cookie-cutter pop artist’ while praising her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber.
‘Like you know, they’re like, ‘this is my new single and here’s my makeup line,’ he told podcast host Zach Sang in 2020.
Though that could easily be a jab at Gomez — who owns the makeup brand Rare Beauty —she appears unbothered.
As one fan slammed her as ‘corny’ for sticking by him despite the shade, Gomez replied: ‘Lol yeah and he’s still better than anyone I’ve ever been with. Facts’
She also told another upset fan, who said Blanco has ‘cursed’ the star, that ‘he has been the best thing that’s ever happened to me.’
The Disney Channel alum concluded it with: ‘The end.’
But Gomez’s replies didn’t stop there.
One fan penned a lengthy comment accusing Gomez of always choosing to date ‘crusty, problematic music men.’
They believe she should go after someone who is ‘a rich, educated, mature handsome man that would treat her with love and respect, share her same values and life goals.’
Gomez said the analysis of herself and Blanco was ‘so off.’
