Taylor Swift recently said THIS was her ‘biggest fear’

Five years after declaring that to be her «biggest fear,» Taylor Swift has canceled her scheduled concerts in Vienna, Austria due to an unsubstantiated terror threat.

Three of the singer’s 34-show Eras Tour dates were canceled after two individuals were detained on suspicion of planning a terror act.

Swift had previously written an essay for Elle in 2019 after her Reputation tour concluded, expressing her fear of being attacked at one of her shows.

When asked about her «greatest fear,» she revealed that it was attempting to keep her supporters safe while on tour.

«A huge amount of thought, money, and work went into making sure my fans were safe.»

She was alluding to the May 22, 2017, Manchester, England, suicide bombing, which occurred following an Ariana Grande concert and claimed the lives of 22 people.

In the meanwhile, on October 1, 2017, a gunman opened fire on a gathering of more than 22,000 people at the Route 91 Harvest music festival in Vegas. More than sixty persons perished.

Swift continued by describing the precautionary measures she takes for her own personal safety while she isn’t at a concert.

«My personal life has not been exempt from my fear of violence.» Swift said, «I have army-grade bandage dressing called QuikClot that I use for gunshot or stabbing wounds.»

«You kind of start preparing for bad things when you have enough stalkers attempting to break into your house.»

To combat her worries, the Clara Bow hitmaker stressed the value of keeping an optimistic outlook.

I make an effort to remind myself every day of the kindness I’ve experienced, the compassion I’ve seen in the world, and my faith in people. To feel genuinely alive, we must live fearlessly, which involves letting go of our worst anxieties.

Following the arrest of two suspects, Swift’s three forthcoming gigs in Vienna were confirmed to be canceled on Wednesday.

According to Franz Ruf, director-general for public safety in the Ministry of the Interior, the second suspect was apprehended in the Austrian capital, while the main suspect, a 19-year-old, was detained near Ternitz, south of Vienna.

Prior to the postponement, the pop diva was scheduled to play on August 8, 9, and 10 at Vienna’s Ernst-Happel-Stadion. Increased security was planned for the performances.

According to Ruf, the suspects, who allegedly became radicalized online, intended to strike Vienna; the 19-year-old was ‘bent’ on Swift’s Vienna performance.

According to Kronen Zeitung, the 19-year-old male, who was residing in his parents’ home with another man, was taken into custody on Wednesday following a police raid.

After searching the house, a bomb squad is said to have discovered chemical materials. These materials are currently being examined to determine whether they may be used to create a bomb.

The suspects’ identities are still under wraps.

Early in July, the teenager swore allegiance to the Islamic State organization (ISIS), according to police, who also verified that they were aware of «preparatory actions» for a possible attack.

Information regarding the threat to the shows came from U.S. intelligence and was relayed to Austria and Europol, law enforcement sources told ABC News.

«The suspects were focused on the Taylor Swift concerts,» Ruf continued. We found out that he was moving in order to get ready for the assault. A glaring menace has been eliminated.

Potential accomplices are being looked at by the police.

The announcement from Taylor Swift’s concert producer Barracuda Music said: «The Eras Tour Vienna Shows Cancelled Due to Government Officials Confirmation of Planned Terrorist Attack.»

Government officials have confirmed that there is a planned terrorist attack at Ernst Happel Stadium. For everyone’s protection, we are forced to cancel the three scheduled events.

In the following ten working days, an automatic refund will be applied to all tickets.

Ruf first announced that admission inspections would receive extra attention and that attendees should arrive early.

According to authorities, 65,000 concertgoers were anticipated each day, with an additional 10,000–15,000 fans from outside the neighborhood.

On December 8, Swift’s Eras Tour comes to a close in Vancouver, Canada.

Variety last month disclosed the astounding per-night profits for the 152-date concert series, which features Swift performing songs from her 17-year career. It is anticipated that the series will gross over $2 billion by the time it concludes.

Early in the Eras Tour era, a source close to the production claimed that her average nightly gross was $14 million, according to the site. Others think that figure is extremely cautious, putting the likely total closer to $17 million on at least some evenings.

Compared to past Forbes reports that put the amount between $10 and $13 million, this is an increase.

Interestingly, the revenue from inflated resale tickets—which frequently fetch prices much over their original value—is not included in this calculation.

Swift chose not to benefit from the scalping of her own tickets, which went for a maximum of $499 (not including VIP packages, which cost up to $899) and averaged about $230.

Furthermore, according to Variety, the Eras Tour movie, which was released in the fall of last year prior to the tour’s conclusion, made over $180 million domestically and $261 million internationally, shattering previous records held by Michael Jackson’s and Justin Bieber’s concert films, respectively.

The Eras Tour experienced a significant setback in November 2022 when Ticketmaster’s system crashed as a result of excessive demand, delaying tickets for thousands of fans.

Swift was not held accountable; instead, the ticketing site took the fall for selling two million tickets in a single day, breaking the previous record.

With the release of The Tortured Poets Department and her 152-date Eras Tour, Taylor has had an immensely successful year. However, she is already working on new music, which insiders reportedly believe might be released as early as next year.

The singer of Cruel Summer is reportedly in talks to embark on another tour in 2026 and has no intention of taking a long vacation. She is now working on new music for a 2025 release.
