The cause of death of Crazy Town singer Shifty Shellshock has been made public, three months after his untimely and tragic death at the age of 49.
On June 24, 2023, the Butterfly hitmaker, actual name Seth Brooks Binzer, was discovered unconscious at a Koreatown, Los Angeles, home. He was subsequently declared deceased.
The star’s cause of death was declared by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner to be the combination of fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine. The death was caused by an accident.Binzer was never shy about discussing his difficulties maintaining sober; in 2008, he even made two appearances on the reality TV program Celebrity Rehab.
Howie Hubberman, the star’s manager, told DailyMail.com that he «wasn’t surprised at all» by the death’s cause.
He claimed: «He was mixing illegal substances with anything he could obtain, including prescription drugs like methamphetamines.»

Less than a week had passed since Seth and Bobby Reeves, his bandmate from Crazy Town, got into a fistfight after a Myrtle Beach show.
According to TMZ at the time, the argument between the musicians began because they were upset that Shellshock, the group’s lead singer, was absent from the performance until the very end.
In his place, co-vocalist Bobby sang. As shown in a video uploaded by a TikTok user, Bobby gave a performance full of mistakes and profanity directed at Seth.
After arriving at the concert, Seth got into a heated argument with Bobby, who was subsequently seen with a black eye, in the social media video.
The band members were shown fighting backstage over money and frequently becoming physical with one another in a video released by TMZ. Bobby was also seen threatening Seth’s family members. In the video, Bobby said to Seth, «I think you’re a b**** a** motherf*****, homeboy.»
